As the chariot made its way back through the streets of Kuala Lumpur to Sri Mahamariamman Temple, people bring offerings be blessed by to the priests and their assistants on board.

Offerings typically consisted of an Indian metal meal plate with fruit and a half coconut. It would then be returned with some extra flowers, and the oil inside the coconut set on fire. People also held their babies up to be blessed but these were not set on fire.
