For whatever reason - theories I've heard range from general spite for the British colonizers, to a premonition in the dream of a Burmese general - Burma diverges from most of its neighbors by driving on the right (i.e., correct) side of the road. If there were actually any traffic on the bridge to Thailand, this might be a hassle, but as it is, it's just an excuse to put up some confusing road signs.
