These guys are mesmerizing. They play traditional instruments and glide back and forth between chanting and singing, during which they tell ritualized versions of old stories most people in the audience already know. Some stories are historical, some are bawdy, but the art is in the music and the voice and the motion and the eyes, so even if you don't understand a word of Arabic you'll still be absorbed by the spectacle.
