Long-tailed macacque
(Indonesia: Bali)

1998
Indonesia: Bali: Long-tailed macacque

This is a long-tailed macacque, one of thousands that live in upland forests on Bali. This particular fellow is in Ubud, where the monkeys are relatively well-behaved (by Bali monkey standards). Those in less-visited Sangeh make up a pack of primate delinquents: they pick pockets, handle people's private parts, and climb all over their visitors with reckless abandon.
