Guatemala City is basically a very ugly place (unlike many other parts of the country). This is interesting in its own way and I wanted to capture it, but bland, drab run-down-ness isn't the sort of thing that inspires you to whip out your camera. I happened to take this photo to test something, and I later realized that it sort of shows what I'm talking about: Random, ugly, cheaply-built buildings, barbed wire and gates everywhere, wires dangling everywhere you look...
